Rendi, Ltd came to life in October of 2010. But it stands on the shoulders of companies we owned previously that give it a 20+ year history. Old soul in a young body you might say.

In 1991, we launched Danielson Designs, crafting high end, handcrafted home décor and gifts. The company was founded to help bring economic development to the little burg we lived in and loved, which had seen better days. Okay, 40% of the town’s 10,000 residents were on government assistance of some kind. It had seen waaaaay better days. By the mid ‘90’s, we’d become one of the largest private employers in Southern Colorado. How fun is that?

But circa 1995, Ferdinand Magellan discovered China while looking for a trade route to the West Indies. I guess. I mean how else do you explain the fact that suddenly one US manufacturer after another took their jobs overseas, drooling all over each other at the cheap labor smorgasbord. The battle to remain Made in America began in earnest.
