Are you currently looking for a network marketing company to join? There are thousands of companies out there and it can be a challenge to find the right one for you. Everyone and their cat and dog will tell you that their company is the best, has the best products etc. So how do you figure out which one really is the best for you? The reality is that no one company is the best for everyone. That is one of the reasons why there are so many options. Here are five important things you need to consider before making this all important decision.

What is the product? I personally believe that this is the most important provided all of the other things are in place. Is it a product about which you are passionate? Is it truly unique in the market place? How competitive are the products? The more companies there are which sell the same product or something similar the more difficult it is going to be to for you to make retail income.

What is the difference between the retail and wholesale price? Is it large enough for you to make a reasonable profit? One of the reasons many people fail in network marketing is because there is no retail profit with the products and so they have to recruit in order to make any money. You want to be sure and partner with a company who has products you can actually sell at retail price and make a profit. Also is the retail price reasonable and in line with products of similar quality? Too many products in network marketing companies are priced to high making it difficult for you to sell any of them even if they are among the best available.

How long has the company been in business? Unless you are an experienced network marketer or entrepreneur or a risk taker, you should not join any company which has not been in business for at least three years. Pre-launches involve a great amount of risk as many of these companies do not survive their first five years and some even fail to actually launch. Furthermore, the longer a company has been around the more products, training systems, marketing tools and other materials will be available for you to use and you will find it easier to run your business.

What is the industry aside from network marketing and is it profitable? Many network marketing companies are in the health and wellness industry, where as some are in telecommunications, cards, home fragrances, travel or something else. You need to be sure that there is in general, a high demand for the products in that industry outside of network marketing. This helps to ensure high demand for the products now and in the future.

Who is running the company? Does the CEO have network marketing experience? This can play a big part in whether or not he or she is competent as well as whether or not he or she really understands what it is like to be a distributor. Furthermore, do they have integrity? Are they reliable? And what is their vision for the future of their company?

Although there are other questions which you can and should ask these are the most important as they will influence your likelihood of success. Positive answers to these questions, will usually reveal an excellent opportunity, if you feel that the company is a fit for you.
