Green Smoothie Girl

green smoothie girl 2

You’ve probably heard of green smoothies, and may have even tried a few at your local smoothie place, but you might not know about Green Smoothie Girl. Green Smoothie Girl is a relative newcomer to the direct sales industry so if you’re looking around for a new opportunity and you’re interested in the whole foods life-style they advocate, you could get in “on the ground floor”. Green Smoothie Girl’s product line includes protein powder, superfood drink mixes, and more. Every product is made in the US under company founder Robyn Openshaw’s supervision, from organic plant sources, and I can verify personally that they’re quite tasty. Their protein powder, rather than being derived from whey or soy, comes from peas and hemp.

I recently had the pleasure of attending a Green Smoothie Girl class with instructor Holly Jackson (owner of several Roxberry Smoothie locations in Utah). Holly walked us through the process of making four different beverages enhanced with GSG products, spoke with us about the health benefits of a mostly plant-based diet—benefits backed up by a twenty year research project conducted by T. Colin Campbell, Jacob Gould Schurman, and Thomas M. Campbell II, popularly known as The China Study. Among the concoctions Holly offered us were two smoothies—a green smoothie and a protein shake—each containing products from the GSG line.

I was pleasantly surprised. The atmosphere was fun and supportive and the drinks were truly tasty.

Most of us know we’re not getting enough of the right nutrition. Finding room for leafy greens is hard. If you’re interested in eating a more plant-based, organic diet and looking for a new direct sales opportunity, you might want to try out some of their products.
