It’s Time to Approach Your Direct Selling Business Differently

People need to buy holiday gifts. Are they going to tackle the crowded mall, or will they enjoy an evening of fun while shopping with you?

It’s time to think differently.

We are moving into the fall selling season. For many direct sellers, this is the most profitable time of the year. But it’s what you do now that determines how successful you’ll be during the holiday selling season. Are you fully booked this month?

If you are spending all your time playing on Facebook, writing blog posts, tweeting random stuff, and complaining that you don’t have as many parties or appointments on your calendar as you would like, it’s time to think differently.

Don’t approach your business from a sense of lack. If you’re spending all your time online, and don’t have enough business on the calendar, perhaps you’ve decided that your local community doesn’t hold enough prospects for you. If you’re upset that you don’t have enough parties on the calendar, or no one came to the last one, go schedule another one. There is always someone else. If you don’t believe me, go take a look at the active people in your company. They don’t have magic wands. They just ask for the booking, for the sale, for the recruit.

It’s time to think differently.

Move away from fear if you want to be successful this holiday. You are not trying to force people to do things they don’t want to do. Instead, you provide a service that people need. Your approach to what you’re offering will make all the difference.

When direct sellers get online and beg for people to book, buy, or join, it truly makes me shake my head. You all know how to do this properly. And you’ll be tempted to post those great specials your company is running now in an effort to get more bookings. But if you don’t do this the way you’re supposed to, your desperation will shine through, and people will run away.

It’s time to think differently. Focus on the service that you provide, and benefits you bring. Don’t focus on fear and lack. You offer tremendous value. If you didn’t, no one in your company would be successful. But it’s your attitude that makes the difference. Focus on the benefits you bring to enjoy a successful holiday sales season.
