Ruby Ribbon Product Review

Here at MLM.com, we are excited to start a new feature: articles on product reviews. We love MLM/direct selling company products. All of us on staff have been using MLM products for a long time. Recently we sought to spotlight some new direct selling companies and the exciting products they’re bringing to the market. The company I chose to look at was Ruby Ribbon (www.rubyribbon.com). Ruby Ribbon specializes in garments which are both fashionable and shaping, giving you the benefit of minimal layers when you dress.

If I had my way, I would wear jeans and a t-shirt every day of my life. However, my professional life sometimes dictates that I “dress up” (I do refuse to actually wear a dress). This usually means a button down shirt and nice slacks. That is all fine. I have no problem doing that, except that wearing a nice shirt and slacks requires more layers underneath. To be seen as professional, women have to wear too many layers of clothing. I hate it. I hate fiddling with and tugging at all those layers to keep them in the right place on my body. (My body appears to have a mind of its own.) When I found Ruby Ribbon, I read some of the press releases about the company. I like the premise that women’s clothing can be simpler and easier to wear and look professional at the same time.

I started out by purchasing the “wrap top” in silver. I liked the idea that the shirt comes with the bra built in—one less layer.

I don’t usually buy clothing off the internet. If I want to take it back, it seems like a hassle to box it back up. However, in order to write this review, I took the plunge.

My first pleasant surprise was that the shirt arrived quickly (only a few days after I ordered) even though I did not pay for expedited shipping. For me this is a big plus. I am not big on waiting (yet another reason I prefer going to a physical store). The second treat was that the shirt fits. I find women’s sizing to be a mystery. You would think after all these years, I would know my size. I swear that the clothing industry hates me personally and has decided to torment me by making sizes unique to the company and not universal. However, the wrap top fit perfectly. Last, the shirt was comfortable and looked professional. I was the winner in all categories.

In fact I was so impressed I ordered two more items, the asymmetrical tunic and the cami. Again, both items came in just a couple of days. The tunic works well with a pair of black pants and creates just a little more class when I need it. I love the cami. I wear it a lot.

The most important part for me is that the clothing stays put. I don’t spend the day tugging and pulling to keep everything in place. Thanks, Ruby Ribbon, for a great shopping experience.
