The Art Of Generating Leads

Leads are essential for any successful network marketing business. You need prospects for your business and customers to purchase products. But where do you find the best leads? Should you generate your own or buy them from a respectable leads company? I believe that generating your own leads and having people come to you is the best scenario. It does take time, but in the end, it gets results.

The good news is that there are many different ways to produce leads. And the internet is a big help. Here are a few of my favorite methods:

  1. Create a personal website. Learn to sell yourself. Why should someone
    join you? What makes you unique? And what value and expertise do
    you bring to the partnership? Answer these questions on your website.
    Sell “you.”
  2. Use an auto responder. As leads visit your website, offer a “free
    report or newsletter.” This will build your subscriber list and allow you
    to communicate with your prospects. Use it to provide valuable
    information.
  3. Write articles. This is a great avenue for building a
    presence online. Submit these articles to e-zines and newsletters.
    Articles are powerful because you can present yourself as an expert in
    your industry.
  4. Create a blog. Blogging is fun and it allows you to write freely to
    your niche. You can vary the length of your posts. Blog regularly and
    watch your traffic grow.

Pick one or two lead generating avenues and master them. Then, when you are ready, add one more and repeat.

Do this with a plan in front of you. You will need to set goals and stick to them. Be consistent and stay focused. Keep in mind that timing is everything—if the timing for a lead isn’t right today, it may be next year.

One of the important factors to remember is that you are talking to real people.  Most people don’t care about your company, pay plan, and so on. It’s not about you; it’s about them. They care about finding a solution to their problem. Find out their feelings, goals, and wants. Then provide a solution. Build a relationship and then a partnership. And stay in touch with your prospects.

Generating the best MLM leads is a process that won’t happen overnight. It is both a skill and an art that you can definitely learn!
